We have the sequence that follows the pattern: a n = - 4 n + 13. If we want to calcelate the 14th term in this sequence ( or a 14 ), we have to substitute in this formula: n = 14. Then we will get: a 14 = - 4 * 14 + 13 a 14 = - 56 + 13, and finally: a 14 = - 43. Answer: The 14th term in the sequence is - 43.
