Compared to God's knowledge, human knowledge is nothing but  "ignorance."  The central idea best displays Augustine's Neoplatonic approach to understanding the world is that Human knowledge is ignorance compared to God's knowledge. It means that everything that human thinks and learned are from their ignorance.  Neoplatonic holds that all existence consists of consequences from the One with whom the soul may be reunited.
