Use the vertices to find the length and width of the rectangle:

Length = (0,0) (0,4) = 0-0 = 0, 4-0 = 4

Length = 4

Width = (0,0) (2,0) = 2-0 = 2, 0-0 = 0 = 2

Width = 0

Area = 4 x 2 = 8 square units
