1) 32 + 5 + 8 + 15
    First combine 32 + 8 = 40 and 5 + 15 = 20.
    Add 40 + 20 = 60.

2) [tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex] × 4 × 9 × [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex]
    Multiply 4 × 9 = 36. Divide 36 by 3 (same as multiplying by [tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex]) = 12. Now divide 12 by 2 (same as multiplying by [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex]) =         6.
