Find the slope between (3, -2) and (7, 3).

(3, -2) and (7, 3).          (x, y)

Slope = Change in y / Change in x.

Slope = (3 - -2) / (7 - 3) = (3+2)/4 = 5/4 = 1.25

Slope = 1.25

Given two points (x1,y1), (x2,y2), the slope m is as follows:
 m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

Given points (3,-2) and (7,3)
 m = (3 - (-2)) / (7 - 3) = 5/4
