[tex]f(x) + g(x) = \dfrac{2x}{2x + 1} + \dfrac{1}{2x + 1}[/tex]

  • Set up

[tex]f(x) + g(x) = \dfrac{2x + 1}{2x + 1}[/tex]

  • Since we have common denominators among the terms, we can simply add the numerators

[tex]f(x) + g(x) = 1[/tex]

  • Simplify

The answer is Choice B, or 1.
