The values x in the following quadratic are:

1 + i√19

1 - i√19

All terms must be on the same side.

Subtract 2x from both sides.

x^2 - 2x + 20 = 0

Apply the quadratic formula:

[tex]-b +/- \frac{\sqrt{b^2 - 4ac} }{2a}[/tex]

2 +/- √(4 - 80)/2

2 +/- √(-76)/2

2+/- i√76/2

1 +/- i√19
