If the number is negative, the closer it is to 0, the warmer it is

If the number is positive, the closer it is to 0, the colder it is

In this case -2 degrees is warmer because it is negative and closer to 0.

-10 degrees is colder because it is negative and farther away from 0 on a number line.

So your answer is Yes, -2 degrees is higher than 10 degrees

Hope this helps
