Three-point lighting is a method that is used in digital media. Examples are; Video, Computer imagery and Film.
Names of each light and it's purpose:
Key light: This is the main light that focuses on the subject.
Fill light: The use of this light is to fill in bits of shadows caused by the Key light so to keep them from darkening to much.
Back light: This is to define the subject form it's background.
