An individual is a member (a part) of a society. The individual is supported by that society, and helps to support others in that society. When an individual needs help, society provides that. That could be by means of having friends or being transported to a hospital. Society also improves the lives of individuals. It helps them be connected to others and have the ability to access goods and services (for money or for free).
