It was the Industrial Era,people were injured living in unsafe spaces. The majority of people moved to the cities where most of the factories were During the time cities developed, the first ever skyscrapers. But the worker didn't earn much and the majority of them lived in inner city tenements close to the work place. But the landlords of those tenements did not maintain them very well which caused alot of injurieson those who lived there.
