[tex] \frac{2}{3} x + 1 = 27[/tex]
[tex] - 7x - 3x - 17 = 8x + 19[/tex]
Is anybody able to help me figure out these equations and explain?

2/3x + 1 = 27

Step 1: Subtract 1 from both sides.

2/3x + 1 -1 = 27 -1

2/3x = 26

Step 2: Multiply both sides by 3/2.

3/2 * 2/3x = 3/2 * 26

x=39
