Answer:

solve 3x+7y=3 (rearrange to y=mx+c)

7y = -3x+3

[tex]y=\frac{-3}{7} x+\frac{3}{7}[/tex]

parallel line to this...it goes through (-6,7)

so y=(-3/7)x+c - same slope, since it's parallel

when x is -6, y is 7 (-6,7)

so...

7=(-3/7)*-6+c

7= 2.571428571428571428571428571428...+c

c= 4.428571429

then we get the equation...

[tex]y=\frac{-3}{7} x+4.428571429 (approximately 4.43)[/tex]
