1.) Put both equations in slope-intercept form: y = mx + b

2.) Then, set the equations equal to each other: mx + b = mx + b

3.) Solve by subtracting and/or adding on both sides

4.) Divide to find 'x'

5.) Substitute the value of 'x' into one of the equations

6.) Solve for 'y'
