What do you think would happen to a habitat if the plant diversity declines?

If plant diversity declines, the habitat would definitely lose its balance. The ecosystem would lose its balance. Plants are considered producers and are always the beginning of the food chain. Without plants, animals that consume plants will definitely decline it number; thus, also the consumers on top of the chain.
