Plants consume CO2 in Photosynthesis, converting it and water into glucose using the energy contained in sunlight to kick start6CO2+6H2O+sunlight→C6H12O6+6O2 the process.

In the process called photosynthesis, plant life consumes carbon dioxide (CO2) and water to yield the products which are glucose sugar and oxygen gas. Through this process, the amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is somehow depleted.
