What is the slope of the passing through the points (4,6) and (-1, -2)

The formula to find the slope m is:
[tex]m=\frac{y-y_{1}}{x-x_{1}}[/tex]
Plugging the given values into the formula, we get:
[tex]m=\frac{6-(-2)}{4-(-1)}=\frac{8}{5}[/tex]
The slope of the line is 8/5.
