x = 4 + (x^2 - 4) / (x - 8)
x(x - 8) = 4(x - 8) + x^2 - 4
x^2 - 8x = 4x - 32 + x^2 - 4
-8x - 4x = -32 - 4
-12x = -36
x = -36/-12
x = 3
