if you get something in your eyes in the lab, what is the most important thing to do?

First, you have to make sure you are wearing safety glasses. If you get something in your eye, don't touch it. Wash your hands and use water to get the substance out of your eye. 

But I think the most important thing to do is call a teacher or safety professional to help you.
