2HCl(aq) + CaCO3(aq) ------> CaCl2(aq) + H20(l) + CO2(g)

number of moles in 500mg of TumsTM = 500 * 10^-3/100 = 5 * 10^-3 moles

if from the balanced equation;

2 moles of HCl reacts with 1 mole of CaCO3

x moles of HCl will rect with 5 * 10^-3 moles of CaCO3

x= 5 * 10^-3 moles * 2 mole/1 mole = 0.01 mole or 10 mmol
