Well the form you have it in is y=mx+b and standard form is Ax+by=C or Ax+By+C=0.

Both those are correct but its best to do the first one.

SO now we just reorder the equation:

-5/8x + y=-7 To reorder folow this:

y=5/8x-7 = Ax+By=C

-5/8+y=5/8x -5/8x -7. (subtract x from each side to get the x's on the left side with y.)

-5/8x+y=-7 = Ax+By=C

IN this -5/8 is A, B is 1 and C is -7

Therfore your answer if -5/8x+1y=-7
