Margins on your drawing canvas help to center your focus and work on the page. Think of it the same as lines on writing paper and the function they serve. Drawing/using margins can help you to apply and posotion your artwork in proportion with the page. Proper use of the page will compliment your artwork and make it easier for the brain of your audience to process what you've presented.
