Answer:

Ghettos during WW2 are often referred to enclosed neighborhoods of Jews that lived in Poland and such. The Nazis before the "Final Solution" had forced Jews to live in these Ghettos where many would starve to death and live in close quarters. Eventually, raids would be conducted on these ghettos and mass killing would begin or transportation to concentration camps.
