We have to plug in the values in the equation:
y = 2 x + 1
- 3 = 2 * ( - 2 ) + 1
- 3 = - 4 + 1
-3 = - 3
-------------------
-1 = - 2 + 1
- 1 = - 1
------------------
3 = 2 * 1 + 1
3 = 2 + 1
3 = 3
------------------
Answer:
The solution set is: { ( -2, 3 ), ( - 1 , 1 ) , ( 1, 3 ) }
