the sum 2 number is 27. the largest number is 3 larger then the smaller one. what are the 2 numbers and what are the systems of equations

x + 3x = 27
4x = 27
÷ 4
x = 6.75 (smaller number)
27 - 6.75 = 20.25 (larger number).
I don't know the 'systems of equations' though, sorry.
