Was the American Revolution a genuine revolution? Why or why not?

It was a genuine revolution. Revolutions are usually full of wars and struggles and this is exactly what happened here. The world order and the ruling class were completely removed and replaced in the colonies which is rather similar to what was happening in France during the French revolution.
