Let K be the number of candies that Kahi can eat per hour and S be the number of candies that her sisters can eat per hour.
So for the sisters, let us divide 32 by 3 and we get, 10.67. so 10.67/ hour.
Now, consider this expression: (K+S)*h = 32
Plug in the given values.
(32 +10.67)h = 32
42.67h = 32
Divide both sides by 42.67 and we get
h= 1.33. Therefore, it will take 1.33 hour for both of them together to eat 32 candies. Hope this answer helps.
