Hello! In 1889, scientists Joseph von Mering and Oskar Minkowski found out that diabetes related to failure/issues of the pancreas. In 1910, scientist Sir Sharpey-Schafer discovered that lack of insulin was the cause of the disease. Hope this helps! :)
