4x - 6 + 4 = 2x + 10 , that is

4x - 2 = 2x + 10 ( subtract 2x from both sides )

2x - 2 = 10 ( add 2 to both sides )

2x = 12 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 6

Then

AC = 2x + 10 = 2(6) + 10 = 12 + 10 = 22
