The time taken for Jenny to run the same distance at 10% faster is 13.05 seconds

Percentage

  • Distance Adam runs = 100m
  • Time taken by Adam = 14.5 seconds
  • Distance Jenny runs = 100m

Time taken by Jenny = 14.5 - (10% × 14.5)

= 14.5 - (0.1 × 14.5)

= 14.5 - (1.45)

= 13.05 seconds

Therefore, the time taken for Jenny to run the same distance is 13.05 seconds
