the equation of the line is

y = 2x-1

so the slope of the equation is m = 2 as it is the coefficient of the x

(y = mx + c standard line equation, where m is the slope of the line)

for parallel line the slope will be same ,\

so the new equation of line that passes through point(4,4)

[tex]y-4=2(x-4)[/tex][tex]\begin{gathered} y-4=2x-8 \\ y=2x-8+4 \\ y=2x-4 \end{gathered}[/tex]

so the new equation of the line is y =2x - 4
