You might want to clarify the question further, but if an object is above the ground (it has gravitational potential energy) It will accelerate to earth at a speed of 9.8m/s

• Gravity is a force of attraction between objects that is due to their masses. • All matter has mass. Gravity is a result of mass. Therefore, all matter is affected by gravity. • Gravity between the objects of the solar system holds the solar system together.
