So,  [tex] \frac{5}{8} + \frac{3}{4} * \frac{2}{2} = \frac{5}{8} + \frac{6}{8} = \frac{11}{8} [/tex]

Simplified as mixed number equals to [tex]1 \frac{3}{8} [/tex]

(Keep in mind that the LCM was 8.)
