y = 5x + 2
3x = y + 10

3x = y + 10
3x = 5x + 2 + 10
3x = 5x + 12
3x - 5x = 12
-2x = 12
x = -6

substitute x = -6 into y = 5x + 2

y = 5(-6) + 2
y = -30 + 2
y = -28

x = -6, y = -28

hope this helped, God bless!
