The best answers for this would be "they don't have fingers" or "they don't have hands". Most, if not all, of these actions require something that involves a hand. Ex) We cannot write our names without our hands, nor can we tie a knot in string. I hope this helps!

because they are descended from their wild ancestors who's bodies were only adapted to hunt and to run, not to learn how to tie a knot or write a name.
