4x+3= 11

Balance the equation. Try to get x by itself, and do the inverse to the other side.

3 is being added, so subtract on the other side.

4x= 11-3

4x= 8

Since 4 is being multiplied by x, divide 8 by 4.

x= 8/4

x=2

I hope this helps!
