A box is 2 feet wide. if one notepad is 2 inches wide, how many notepads can fit in the box?

2 feet is 24 inches so 24 / 2 = 12 so you can fit 12 notepads into the box.

It is given that , a box is 2 feet wide. And 1 feet equals to 12 inches, therefore 2 feet equals to 24 inches .

And 1 notepad is 2 inches wide.

Let the number of notepads equals to x. So we get

[tex] 2x=24 [/tex]

Dividing both sides by 2

[tex] x=12 notepads [/tex]

Therefore 12 notepads can fit in the box .
