Opposite rays are rays that start at the same point but travel is opposite directions. VW and VZ do have the same endpoint, but they don't necessarily have to go in opposite directions. They could go in right angle directions, any angle of directions, but they are opposite arrays only if the angle is 180 degrees. They could also in fact be the same ray as well, if the points V, W, and Z are colinear and W and Z are on the same "side" of point V.
