They were the first people to grow cotton or sindon

The Harappans are the earliest known people to have  grown and sewn using cotton. In fact, the Greek word for cotton is sindon, a word derived from Sind which is a part of the Indus Valley Civilization region. They produced cotton cloth hundreds of yrs before anyone else.
