The product of two nonzero integers is less than or equal to the both of the factors when one of them is positive and the other is negative. 

For example:-

[tex]x = 9 \\ y = -5 \\ \\ Then, \\ xy = 9*(-5) = -45 \\ \\ Here, \\ xy \leq x \\ xy \leq y [/tex]
